What a year it’s been! Covid has disrupted many industries, and ours is no exception.
We have had to comply with ever-evolving Public Health measures and be nimble with scheduling changes. We thank all of you, our patients, for your understanding and adaptability!
Although the year has been busy, there have been many highlights.
Our stem cell research project is progressing nicely, and we have enrolled 70 subjects to date out of a total of 240. There is still room for more people with osteoarthritis!
Fully 75% of the subjects enrolled are showing marked improvements in their arthritis symptoms in as little as 6 months after treatment with stem cells. Also very popular are our platelet treatments using PRP for sports injuries, hair growth, facial rejuvenation, and sexual enhancement for both men and women.
Dr. Pagdin presented some preliminary data at the recent annual meeting of the Canadian Association of Orthopedic Medicine in Victoria, and will be presenting this data again in Colorado in February at the Interventional Orthobiologic Foundation meetings.
We welcomed new members to the Pagdin Health team and expanded from a group of 6 to a team of 8. Dr. Tina Garrison, ND, joined us in March to help support our Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Program (BHRT), and she has been so popular she now has a three-month wait list! Sherry is our new Office Manager, and she inspires confidence with her wealth of experience. Lindsey is our Clinical Research Coordinator, managing all aspects of our Health Canada-endorsed osteoarthritis stem cell project with great competence. Kimberley joins Robyn at the front desk so you are assured a friendly and professional greeting. Julia joins our research team with record-keeping and data input, while completing her degree in Biology at UBCO. Of course, we are blessed to have Nurse Michelle as the longest-serving member of our team: jovial and indispensable, as always.
This year we focussed on our YouTube channel and added almost 40 videos about Platelet-Rich Plasma treatments, nutrition, anti-aging, hair loss, osteoarthritis, sports injuries and other interesting topics. We also expanded our library to include rehabilitation exercise videos for ankle, elbows, hips, knees, shoulders and wrist, courtesy of Kinetic Evolution in Kelowna.
Happy Holidays from all of us at Pagdin Health. We look forward to being of service to you this coming year in Living Longer Better!
